He has worked for important dailies like the Los Angeles Times, the LA Weekly , La Prensa Sonoma, the Santa Rosa Press-Democrat, La Opinión of Los Angeles and for news stations like KVEA Telemundo Los Angeles and many other news organizations.
An LA native, Treviño has covered the crime beat in some of the most violent cities in the world, covering famous shootouts and high-profile crime cases. He has probed dangerous sects and done many investigations.
An Army veteran who served during the Gulf War, he served with the 10th Mountain Division. Treviño currently lives in Nogales, Arizona, with his wife, Cristina.
